Be Very Wary of Fedhealth

I was a member of Fedhealth for 15 years and have recently cancelled my membership. I wish I had done so years ago. They were fine at first but over time they reduced their benefits to such an extent that I felt I was paying for nothing. I recently app**** for Cataract surgery (which is a PMB) and, long story short, my co-payment would have amounted to just under R20,000.00. I cancelled the surgery. I was on the Flexifed 2 Grid plan which over time has become a Hospital Plan. Fair enough in these times but beware, you are not even fully covered for hospitalisation. They have a load of co-payments applicable for certain procedures. All in all, they have become one of the worst medical aids in my opinion. They call their Medivault and ewallet system 'savings' - it is not. You pay for this over time. Ugh - so glad I am not being ********** by them any more.
