Bad Customer Care
I was booked for induction on the 4th of february by my doctor so i made sure that i had everything ready and sorted with my medical aid. I called to get authorisation a month prior to my due date and premiums were paid on time. Come the day i had to be admitted to the hospital on the 4th, they tell me my medical aid has been suspended. I had to be induced at 5am but the hospital could not continue because my medical aid was suspended. We had to wait for fedhealth's call centre to open at 8:30 before we could call them which is very inconveniencing, my husband called and a man told him that our medical aid was not paid so he had to go pull out a proof of payment which did show that we paid on the 1st of the month and send it to them. The man gave him an email adress and and said he will call back after an HOUR. An hour later he hasnt called so my husband calls back only to be told that the guy who was assisting him was in a different department and cannot help, so he had to resend the proof Again! The experience was really fustrating and embarrassing. I was then induced later in the day after going through difficulties!
