Bad business practice

I intended taking a hospital plan through yourselves which was only due to commence 1 November 2015. After receiving the paperwork I noticed a late joiner penalty which made it totally unaffordable, this was coveniently not disclosed by your employee. It is 2 September 2015, I cancelled this with you now 2 MONTHS prior to it even starting and have been informed that you will be deducted my \FINAL CONTRIBUTION"on the 3 January 2016????
