Authorization Nightmare
My wife sent through an email on the 22 March 2022 for an hospital authorization. only for Fed-health not to get back to her for over a week. She is scheduled to have and emergency C section on Wednesday 13 April 2022 and they don't seem to calling back. Every-time we have to call them and every consultant says the same thing. After reading all the reviews this is the case with Fed-health.
Considering that i have 5 of my family members on this plan, I decided to contact them too and they confirmed that they have had issues with Fed-health and they have been with fed-health for 2 years. We are strongly considering moving and opening up a case and reporting them to the ombudsman, i have had it.
What i don't get is we have been paying their monthly payments and also claiming after our doctors appointments and fed-health has been paying for those claims. If my wife suffers complications before Wednesday. i will open a case with our lawyers and report them to the ombudsman. In addition to this i have informed my family members to move over to a new medical aid. This matter has to be resolved asap as there is no time, for the games fed-health is putting us through.
Fed-health treats you well when it comes to them receiving the monthly payments but when its a client wanting an authorization they take you through the hoops of hell.
I need to hear from someone with a solution with in 48 hours.
I still stand on what we mentioned opening a case is the best for fed-health and reporting fed-health to the ombudsman. We have a day left till my wife gives birth. And there is a ridiculous response which doesn't mean anything.
