ABANDONED BY FEDHEALTH

I find it difficult to believe that FedHealth refuses to pay for my 6 week post partum check up due to a small technicality such as being booked one week later as my Dr's office was closed over the December Holidays.

Chatting via live chat to a "Jessie" I was also told that a 6 week post partum check up does not include a "Pelvic organ scan" as that is not part of a 6 week post partum. They also told me that the benefit only covers 2x 2D scans and not an ultrasound which is a "day to day expense" covered by my wallet.

When I asked if Fedhealth does not cover 6 week post partum or radiology the response I received was this:

"Jessie 09:42 I am saying that should the check up have fallen in the 6 weeks and should you had an available benefit, only the consult would of paid, your ultrasound is a day to day expense and is payable from the wallet. The claim has paid correctly."

I am sure I do not need to explain to Fedhealth why a 6 week post partum is necessary...and that it should come from my maternity benefit regardless.

I feel abandoned and forgotten ...
