A must read! Fedhealth by far the worse medical aid to join!

Fedhealth medical scheme is by far the worse medical aid one could join for yourself or for your family! Please people whatever you do, do not join this medical aid. What schemes they offer you and your family is not what is given, false advertising, empty promises and lies! They are extremely unprofessional and do not have you or your families best interest at heart, all the consultants want is a quick sale, once signed up nothing they promised or discussed with you actually happens. Myself and my boyfriend joined and the first 2months of joining everything was ok since we haven't really used the medical aid, I just claimed once to use the dentist and that was it. The main reason we joined was to cover our new born baby, jacky the consultant told us our baby would be covered immediately after being born for 30days, which is a lie we couldn't so much as get medication at a pharmacy with fedhealth for our new born cause he was not covered please don't believe them if they tell you your babies covered and when asked about it they don't respond or get back to you, they avoid the hole matter, also when asked to send confirmation of membership for yourself or your baby they take forever to get back to you and you get told your baby is covered don't worry when he is not and no doctor will accept don't worry fedhealth said his covered. Then they tell you have to send his birth certificate and all documentation through within 30days of his birth or your babies not covered. After everything the back and forth the frustration we send through everything within the 30days thinking now our baby is covered. Long story short it's been 2months almost and our babies been put in a 4month waiting period because we didn't submit all documentation within the 30days when we did. And bare in mind they take off the money every month even thou our sons on a waiting period and can't use the medical aid of which jacky the consultant told us nothing about and that's besides the point cause everything was sent through within the time. We've been trying to get hold of the consultant jacky and no response to emails nothing, we cc'd membership department to and nothing, theses people don't care about you or your family. When joining they called us non-stop rep**** to emails on one and now nothing!

Also like I mentioned to you I went to the dentist, I made one claim and that amount came out of your "savings" and you apparently pay it over 12months back. The amount I used times 12 was not the amount fedhealth charged like the consultant jacky explained would be. The monthly payment was triple the amount and none of this explained and try getting any answers from anyone at fedhealth you'd wait forever, we still waiting for answer.

Another point I need to bring across whatever they told you getting in your savings per member is a lie to. We were told each member would get R3000 to use in your savings and this includes our baby. Between the two of us our savings in our medi vault was R3600 which is ridiculous go to a pediatrician twice and that amount would be up. Again Jacky the consultant made empty promises and told us lies and when asked about it time and time email after email ccing membership department to we have still not received anything, no answers , no feed back nothing. I even called the call center sat on the phone for almost an hour costing me time and money and still the matter was just sent to the membership department and they still getting back to me. This is unacceptable!

They will also tell you, you owe them money and that theres outstanding monthly amounts which we have told them is impossible as it came off our account ,also the amount won't even be the amount of your medical aid! Be wary of that people, these people are ****s, robbing people and do not care about you. We have asked them about this to and we still received nothing!
