***** security on electronic signature

Although my item arrived in excellent condition, I was not impressed when I saw on the tracking number that the courier had signed electronically for me. I did sign a piece of paper, however since the electronic signature is the one that proves the item has arrived and been signed for I felt this sets a dangerous precedent. With this in mind I called Fastway Couriers Pretoria to be met with a "really don't care" attitude and was told since I'd signed the paper .... what was the big deal? When I then said I wanted to change from a "I thought you should be aware" to "I now want to complain" I was told I should speak to someone else. Terrible customer service and terrible awareness of potential security issues. Very unimpressed. Basically if my item or yours goes missing .... who's to say you didn't sign for it if the courier himself puts his signature on it .... and no one else complains?
