Extremely Disappointing Experience at Famous Brands Head Office, Midrand

I visited Famous Brands Head Office in Midrand on 20 August 2026 at approximately 12:45 PM, and unfortunately, my experience with one of the security guards from Imvula Security was extremely unpleasant and disappointing.

I understand and respect that security procedures and company policies must be followed. I was instructed to reverse park my vehicle, and I comp**** with the instruction without any issue.

However, when I was leaving the premises, the manner in which I was treated was completely unacceptable. The security guard proceeded to pull on the handles of my vehicle doors while checking/searching my vehicle. I have absolutely no issue with security procedures being followed, provided that they are conducted professionally and respectfully.

What I found particularly concerning was the guard's demeanour, attitude and manner of communication. He went as far as telling me that I was not respecting him as a security guard and stated that if I ever returned to Famous Brands Head Office, he would make sure that I parked on the street.

As a visitor to the premises, I expect to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. Security staff have an important responsibility, but enforcing procedures does not give anyone the right to speak to visitors in an intimidating, disrespectful or confrontational manner.

I am raising this review because I believe Famous Brands management should be aware of how visitors are being treated by security personnel representing Imvula Security at their premises.

I sincerely hope that this matter is investigated, that the relevant security management is made aware of the incident, and that appropriate steps are taken to ensure that visitors are treated professionally and respectfully in future.

I have no objection to security procedures. My concern is the unacceptable attitude and manner in which those procedures were enforced.
