Unacceptable 9-Year Delay and Lack of Help to Resolve Deceased Estate Claim
I am writing to express my absolute frustration at the shocking lack of service and guidance from Fairsure regarding my late father's unclaimed funds. My father, Mr Luvo Ndimba (ID: *** 084), passed away in 2017. My mother, Nomahlubi Makina (ID: *** 086), submitted documentation nearly a decade ago, yet Fairsure has failed to finalize the matter.
I recently finished my matric and have attempted to follow up on this claim directly and via Henwood and Associates, but Fairsure ignores our emails. On his fund Nomination Form, my father explicitly nominated me, his daughter, under the name Lihle Ndimba. However, my legal ID is registered under my mother’s surname as Lihle Makina (ID: *** 081).
When I spoke to a consultant named Phumeza, she promised to email me the requirements, but she never sent the email since february. Fairsure is completely dragging its feet instead of telling me exactly what paperwork is needed to resolve the surname discrepancy.
Due to Fairsure’s stalling, the bank account I opened to receive these funds has accumulated charges and closed. I am a young adult being forced to consider selling my father's house just to fund private lawyers to fight an institution that refuses to communicate.
Fairsure, I demand that a senior manager contact me immediately. Send me a clear, written list of exactly what you require to verify my identity against my father's nomination form so this 2017 claim can finally be paid out.
