Facebook is not what it used to be. Very manipulative!

Been awful lately. I've cleared cache and everything else that was recommended, but I'm still not seeing replies on posts, doesn't seem to matter if it's mine or others. I click the notification in app and it's just blank. Didn't used to have this problem either, but for the past few days it's been acting up. Hate the algorithm too, I'll block pages that pop up as 'recommended' and no sooner than I do it seems more are already popping up. Friends posts show days later and repeat multiple times.
