Facebook is a bunch of ********.. i have had my account for 11 years same account. For some reason my account was hacked last night and the hacker changed my email address so that i won't be able to log into my account. This was now reported to fb, i went through all the prompts to secure my account, they allowed me to delete the hackers email address and put in a new one for me, then i continued with the process to my password. this gave me a error every time. i then tried logging to my old profile with the new email address that fb allowed me to change - when i got to the password it said incorrect. i cannot request a new password because even though my email was changed facebook still has the hackers email as my verification email. i emailed fb support to take away this email to which facebook responded i need to pay them R900 to do so. i emailed back and gave them the story as above and they again confirmed "it is their policy to charge when your account has been hacked" i don't understand this...
