Disrespectful Facebook

So my brother has been late for a decade, and recently somebody hacked his account. We got notifications that he updated his profile and added his story. I reported the issue, as well as my sisters and niece and they just said they can't deactivate the account. How disrespectful is that, everybody that knew my brother, knows he's passed away
