Fired because im not muslim
Good day, this is my husbands account. I was employed as a receptionist at eye save optometrist in grassy Park beginning of the year. Bear in mind they are Muslim based compamy
4 months into my employment i got called in to office to be told 'we thought by now you wouldve embraced islam. Muslim Customers are apparently complaining because a Christian girl are the front of a Muslim company. In the words of the boss of this specific eye save he tells me customers says its' geraam', and he has to let me go. Today i am unemployed because im not muslim?
Please if there is anyone out there that can help, how do i go about this.

17 Dec 2025, 12:54Hi. So to clarify, you were not fired because you were not Muslim. Many of Eye Save's staff is not Muslim and have been working for Eye Save for decades. This person who said these discriminative things to you is not and was never Eye Save staff, but regardless, it was inappropriate for anyone to have discriminated towards your faith. Eye Save is not a "Muslim based compamy", but we do have staff who are Muslims. And we we do not discriminate anyone based on their faith. You were not fired because of your faith, but rather your frequent inability to perform your tasks to Eye Save's standards.
