Clearly Experian does not give a toss about the National Credit Act and the obligations imposed on it by this statute. Their website simply does not work across all browsers and they show no real interest to assist. Parliament decided that credit bureaux must provide an annual free report. However, if your website does not work how is one supposed to obtain this information? Telepathy? Surely it is time for the Consumer Tribunal to impose fines on these useless companies if they cannot comply with statutorily imposed obligations. The other problem I have with them is that they require all sorts of PERSONAL information way beyond what is required to confirm your identity. It is very clear that they are abusing the Act to OBTAIN information for their records, which they then provide at a cost to third parties. Can you explain why you need my home/office/cell numbers, my home address etc? This is clearly an information gathering exercise and most irregular as we have rights to privacy. please provide an HONEST answer as to why such extensive information is required and WHY YOUR WEBSITE DOES NOT WORK? I believe that you are trying to force consumers to take up a paid option.
