Unhelpful channels of communication
So Standard Bank has incorrectly placed a default / adverse info on my Experian credit report. I have requested from the service provider to instruct Experian to remove the default. They have sent me a “resolution resolved” sms with a reference number. But it seems that the default is still listed on the experian credit report. I have opened a dispute online, through mycreditcheck web portal, and uploaded neccessary documents. Including the settlement letter from the bank. Few hours later I received an email where the consultant asks for me to contact my service provider for a settlement letter, so that they can update their system. So I decided not to get frustated yet(since the settlement letter was already uploaded with the original online enquiry) and politely rep**** to the email with the said settlement letter attached. I habe had no reply to that email. So the following day I forwarded this email to the Experian email address: ***. Amd asked if there is any progress regarding this matter. And then the following day I received back exactly the same reply as 2 days ago whereby the consultant asks for me to contact my service provider to provide the settlement letter. Which by now has been provided twice already. This is extremely frustrating to repeatedly go back to the same thing, when it should not be made to be complicated. What makes matter worse is that Standard Bank cannot help any further than what they have already done, they gave instruction to Experian. So the responsibility lies by Experian now. And if you try to get through on the call centre at Experian, your line gets dropped or you have to hold on for so long that you eventually run out of airtime or voice minutes on your phone. And there is no other channel of communication with Experian. It is only via email and then you have to go back to square one everytime you enquire about progress. Totally unacceptable and very unprofessional. And all of this at a time whereby I am in the process of selling my home and applying for a new bond, but this incorrectly placed default on my name prevents me from doing so and I cannot even get this removed, I cannot even seem to be able to enquire wether Experian is in the process of removing this adverse information. There is not even a reference number supp**** for my dispute that I logged online. Please advise how this problem will be resolved, so that I can rightfully continue with my normal life.
