Sick and tired of Experian
This is my last resort. I don't know where else to complain. I've had multiple disputes in order to clean old credit records. I've provide paid up letters. The main screen shows the account was closed but if you drill into the account it shows that there were payments missed in the past 6 months. I am trying to buy a house and due to the incompetence of the credit bureau they will not approve it. The bank says contact the credit bureau.
A dispute takes 20 business days to get resolved. So the information gets removed. With the next credit report the information reflects again. I then need to log a dispute again and wait another 20 business days. Everytime I enquire the consultant say the account remains on your profile for 5 years since the last payment date. The last payment date on all the relevant accounts were SEPTEMBER 2016. We are going for 6 years now....... I've provided all the possible documentation to prove the dates, closed up letters, etc.
I've opened a dispute with the credit ombudsman. They resolved it in Jan. And guess what Feb the bad credit is back!!!! Its pathetic to say the least.
And for some reason the credit providers uses Experian's report for all credit rating checks. Experian is the MOST difficult bureau to deal with. They don't answer their phones or emails. Its an absolute nightmare. Wish all credit providers will get rid of your rating and use other bureaus.
A consultant contacted me yesterday. They claim to have zero'd all my accounts and no bad payment data reflects on my credit report that they are seeing. This is a big concern. Since myself and the bank can see the bad payment history reflecting. Incorrect history none the less but what you see and what the public sees is not the same thing. The consultant escalated it to his manager.
