Refusal to correct information on credit record

A certificate by the administrators i. t. o. section 74U of the Magistrate's Court Act confirming that all the debt have been settled, and a certificate by the Court was issued on 23 April 2014 confirming that the administration order has lapsed. This documentation was submitted to Compuscan but they refuse to correct my profile. First they wanted a rescission order but according to legal advice there is no procedure to rescind a lapsed administration order. Then they said it was because they could not verify the documentation with the court. I have been to the clerk of the civil court of George Magistrate's Court, Mrs. Zureta van Eyk, and she confirmed that it is her signature on the certificate and that administration has lapsed, but for some reason Compuscan have been unable to verify this after more than four months since the dispute was logged with them on 13/11/2014.

Hello tellmestraight,

Compuscan's dedicated consumer care support team has investigated the matter to receive confirmation from the court that the administration order has not lapsed or been rescinded. We are obliged to act only upon instruction of feedback we receive directly from the court and in this case we have received confirmation from Mr Mac Donald that prevents us from removing the listing.

We can hereby confirm that we last spoke to you on 4 March 2015, which is when this information was communicated to you. We also confirmed telephonically that we would log the dispute for you again, which has been done. This means that we are proactively attending to the matter and have instituted the investigation proceedings again. We will provide you with the outcome in due course.
