Poor service
I am extremely disappointed with how Experian and MBD Legal Collections have handled my dispute.
I provided Experian with an IPDA statement showing the payments made towards this account, including my payment of R100.01 in August 2023.
However, MBD continues to claim that my last payment was R119.12 in October 2023.
What is concerning is that MBD's OWN payment listing shows:
28 August 2023 – R100.01 26 October 2023 – R119.12 27 October 2023 – MINUS R119.12
The exact R119.12 was reversed the following day!
I have repeatedly asked a very simple question: WHERE IS THE PROOF THAT I MADE THIS R119.12 PAYMENT?
What payment method did I use? Where did the money come from? What is the transaction reference? Why was the exact amount reversed the following day?
Instead of answering these questions, Experian keeps telling me that MBD provided "credible evidence" and closes my dispute NOT IN MY FAVOUR.
Then what exactly was investigated during the 20-business-day investigation period?
I PROVIDED MY EVIDENCE. I PROVIDED THE IPDA PAYMENT STATEMENT.
If MBD says I made another payment in October 2023, then MBD must produce actual, traceable proof of that payment instead of simply repeating that its records are correct.
Experian, please stop sending me back and forth. I am not asking for another generic response.
I want the actual evidence showing that I made the alleged R119.12 payment in October 2023 and an explanation of why that same amount was reversed the following day.
If you cannot produce that evidence, CORRECT MY CREDIT INFORMATION.
This matter has gone on for long enough. I am now preparing to escalate the complete record to the National Credit Regulator and to seek legal advice regarding further action.
Dispute ***
I expect Experian and MBD to address the evidence and the questions above, not simply close the dispute again with the same response.
