Keeping old garbage
According to credit act, paid up accounts stay on the record for 24 Months, why compuscan still reflects accounts I closed in 2017, and that take number of accounts I have to 55, which raises red flag. Please remove these accounts

23 Jan 2020, 13:45Hi Xolani, thank you for your post. The National Credit Act allows for a legal retention period of 5 years, which is calculated from the date on which the account was last paid. Most credit bureaus keep the information for either 2 or 3 years, depending on the credit bureau's business model.
