Frustrating Experience with Experian - Prescribed Debt Still Showing Missed Payments
If I could give experian zero I would,
I recently had a frustrating experience with Experian. Despite providing them with a prescription letter for a debt (account *** with Shapiro Shaik Defries and Associates_CDS), Experian still shows missed payments on my credit report. Even after disputing this, I had to wait for 21 days for them to investigate. I then had to escalate the matter to the Credit Ombud due to Experian's handling of the issue.
Experian's actions seem to be either *********** or intentionally causing inconvenience. I urge anyone with similar issues to be persistent and consider escalating to the Credit Ombud.

I'm referring to our previous correspondence regarding the above-mentioned account, which is listed on my credit report.
As I've provided, the debt prescribed in 2022, in terms of the Prescription Act, 1969 (Act 68 of 1969). Despite this, your records show missed payments until 2024. This is incorrect and contravenes the National Credit Act, 2005 (Act 34 of 2005).
I request that you:
1. Remove this account listing from my credit report; and
2. Correct my credit report to reflect accurate information.
I've lodged a complaint with the National Credit Regulator (NCR) and would appreciate your prompt attention to this matter.
Account details:
- Account Number: SSDA / TFG ***
- Prescription Date: 2022
