Free Credit Report not really free, its being sold
Why is Compuscan now selling the annual free report that we are entitled to. I tried to download a credit report from their website but now they make it available only online. If you need to view more information from the report they ask you to pay for it. I cant even view my credit score or information that would be useful to me. Its not useful for me to only view credit report on your website i also need to download it and view it more closely. When I don't have internet how will I can access to it? What they are doing now is a way to make money and they are not following rules listed on their own website. Don't say your annual credit report is free, just say some parts of it are free and the most useful information you will need to buy.
The law requires us to provide you with the same information that will be displayed to other parties when a credit report is provided. Therefore we provide you with every single piece of credit information that we have on our database in respect of your credit profile.
As a business the credit bureau makes a profit of its valued added products and services which in this case includes credit scores. These scores are therefore sold and are not made available free of charge to other parties that would view this report.
