failing to update credit bureau status on client s

I was under debt review until 2012 . During 2012 the attorneys forwarded documentation to all credit providers , including all credit bureaus that I am no longer under debt review . During September 2013 I paid up all my debts an became debt free . On Tuesday 2015-05-19 I made enquiries at Capitec bank regarding a loan and was shocked to find out that compuscan still reflects that I am on debt review . I made enquiries at compuscan and they informed me that I am reflecting on their system as being under debt review . I informed them that notification was sent to compuscan by the debt review attorneys Waleed Lamara and associates in 2012 . I would appreciate the fact that compuscan update their records accordlingly and also as soon as possible . Last year in Aril 2014 , all credit bureaus were instructed by Government to remove all negative information from all persons . Is compuscan lagging behind or are they acting with malafide intent . All other credit bureaus have updated their information in 2012 except compuscan . I don't understand why there are so many credit bureaus and why compuscan seems to be the one looking so *********** . <br>

Hello jaycen,

Good day,

The legislation that you refer to did not include the removal of debt review notifications.

You have now submitted the required documentation and as per our previous correspondence to you and we are in the process of updating the information once your documentation has been verified.

We will notify you of the outcome and provide you with an updated credit report in due course.

We confirm that there is no adverse information on your credit report that qualified for removal in terms of the Removal Regulations.

Thank you and we apologise for the inconvenience caused.
Regards,
The Compuscan Consumer Team
