Experian - NO RESPONSE

After 9 years of being insolvent, pay huge amounts of money to lawyers etc. We became reabilitated in April 2019. We received confirmation from everybody that our profiles has been cleared. Now we are trying to get a bond to buy our own home again the banks came back and said that my husband still has a flag against his Id number at Experian which is causing a problem. After numerous attempts by myself aswell as our lawyers, no response. You phone them and get given an email address and that's where it ends.

Good day Catherine /Johan,  We apologies for delay in responding to your request  Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention.  Both the accounts reflect that all accounts reflect no arrears and accounts opened before Sequestration reflects as closed.  Please note that there is a Rehabilitation order status on your profile and this will reflect for 5 years on the profile from the date it was granted.  The credit provider must make their own decision to lend if there is a Rehab Order on the profile, independent of a score from Experian.  If you are being declined credit for any reason, including the referral score and the display of the rehab order, then the matter must be taken up with the credit provider themselves for the reason.  The NCA provides the consumer the right to know the reasons for the decline and the credit provider is solely responsible for their reasons to approve/reject.

Warm regards
Debbie
