Experian Failing to Update My Credit Profile Despite Court-Ordered Judgment Rescission
On 19 March 2025, I submitted an online request through Experian’s website to have a judgment removed from my credit profile. This judgment was related to a gym membership for a gym I never used. Despite this, I chose the easier route and settled the outstanding amount. I then obtained a rescission of judgment from the magistrate’s court, along with all the necessary consent letters.
I uploaded all required documents on the Experian website, including the official rescission of judgment and supporting letters. According to Experian, I was supposed to receive a case reference number within 72 hours — I never did. I repeated the submission a few weeks later and, once again, received no acknowledgment or feedback.
It is now three months later, and my credit report has still not been updated.
I am extremely disappointed in Experian’s failure to update my credit profile within the 20 business days required by law after receiving proof of the settled judgment. This delay is a clear violation of the National Credit Act and Consumer Protection regulations. The ongoing inaction is not only ******** but also damaging to my ability to access credit and rebuild my financial standing.
To make matters worse, I have tried calling Experian repeatedly on ***— daily over the past three months — holding on the line for over 3 hours at a time, and not once has my call been answered. This is simply unacceptable from a registered credit bureau that is entrusted with handling sensitive consumer information.
I am requesting immediate intervention. Please contact me urgently, acknowledge receipt of my documents, and update my credit profile accordingly. I have fulfilled all obligations from my side. Now I expect Experian to fulfill theirs — without any further delay.
