Experian does not follow through
Dear Experian, I have been querying an account (FNB Temp Loan) which was closed in October 2021. It was removed from my report (status was closed) in January 2022 after a constant back and forth uploading paid up letters. The account mysteriously reappeared on my March report on Clearscore. The status was active and the account appeared to be in arrears. On mycreditexpert, the account status was now “up to date” NOT closed. I’ve been querying this since then on both Clearscore and mycreditexpert. I was advised by Experian that the account is closed and will update on the following month’s report. April report (Clearscore) came and the account was still there, active and in arrears. Mind you, this was after Experian confirmed, via email that they will send a request to Clearscore to correctly update my information. I sent emails around, uploaded the relevant documents and again, was told that the correct information will be updated in my next month’s report. My report will be updating in 2 days. I honestly hope that this account will be closed on both Clearscore and mycreditexpert. CLOSED. Not up to date, not active. CLOSED.
Please note that the account reflects as paid up on MyCreditexpert as the letter provided is (paid up letter)
It will fall off from your profile on the 2nd July 2022 - Experian.
