Experian, Debt Busters, does not provide a good service!

My husband and I were place in the unfortunate position of being placed under debt review in 2020 after being mis-informed about what debt review entails, from a debt review company Debt Safe. Everything was done really quickly over the telephone and when we subsequently became aware of the difficulty debt review has placed us in the flag could not be removed from our names until all our creditors were paid up. We made the decision to sell our home in order to pay all our creditors in full and in order for our names to be cleared. We were then assisted by Debt Busters, who informed us that upon receipt of the settlement payment they will ensure our names are removed from debt review. This was not the case. Debt Review companies charge you extensive fees "to take care of your payments and clear your name" but after they received their share, you are on your own. We received our clearance certificates and paid up letters from Debt Busters, and this was forwarded to the credit bureaus but there was never an assurance from debt busters that our names were removed from debt review. We are still emailing and contacting and lodging disputes with Experian to update our details and to have the flag removed from our names, Its been months after we ensured all our creditors are paid and we are the one's still running around to clear our names. No Debt Review company or credit bureau should be allowed this way to mess with people's livelihoods.
