Experian carrying and failing to remove ghost account on my credit profile

So I checked my credit record on experian and discovered that I have a makro account that i know nothing of in May 2020. I wrote to Makro and they indicated they did not know about this account. I susbsequently paid off the real account I had with Makro in July. I got a paid up letter from Makro and sent it to experian. Since July I have written to experian to complain that this ghost account remains on my profile and nothing has happened. Today I check my credit record on experian and that ghost account is one month in arrrear!!!! What kind of credit beaureau does not accept the information provided by the creditor (Makro) and the individual concerned. what power do we really have against these credit beaureaus that wield so much info and power . Deeply frustrated!!!
