Dispute Cancelled Without Investigation & Credit Score Not Updating Despite Good Payment Behaviour

I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received from Experian regarding my recent dispute.

A default listing appears on my credit report. According to Experian’s own dispute requirements, the supporting documentation required is either a statement reflecting the correct status of the account or a paid-up letter. I submitted a statement as part of my dispute. Instead of conducting a proper investigation, Experian cancelled the dispute.

This is unacceptable. If your stated requirement is either a statement or a paid-up letter, then the submission of a statement should trigger a full reinvestigation — not a cancellation. It appears that disputes are being dismissed without properly assessing the documentation provided.

In addition to this, I am also concerned about my credit score not reflecting my positive payment behaviour. I currently have active accounts that are paid on time and in good standing every single month. Despite maintaining responsible credit behaviour, my score remains stagnant and does not seem to move accordingly
