Consumer Abuse by Credit Bureau
I discovered that Expreian reports a negative account on my credit record, this besides the fact that all necessary documents have been send to them more than a year ago that the account has been closed and copy of a court order that records should be amended.
It is now the third day that I have tried for contact them, but after making a selection on their answering service one is left hanging (no transfer of the call, no dialing tone, etc.)
I have send numerous emails including disputes as per their internet system without any response or even an acknowledgement of receipts.
I believe that this credit bureau is abusing consumers since there records play a huge part in service providers' decisions, but as in this case: 1. Their info is not only outadted, but incorrect 2. They do not act on critical information that has been send to them more than a year ago (in this case paid-up letter from their client, a court order that ALL credit bureaus should amend their records accordingly) 3. There is no way one can communicate with them since their phones are not being answered, and they ignore emails sent to them, as well as no acknowledgement of formal disputes received.
Since a credit bureau has the power to hold consumers at 'ransom' they need to be held accountable for their poor service (in this case nonservice) to consumers and should face the risk of loosing their license
