Horrible service!
Lost boxes, ****** vintage bottle of whiskey, overcharged for "wrapping"... I would suggest spending the money on a guaranteed removal service as the damages done will be irreplaceable.. completely unreliable!
We had a horrible experience from the word GO!.
1) After quoting us around 10K for the whole move they then added on another 6K for "wrapping" items. Other companies include blankets etc, they ripped us off with the wrapping completely. They would not unpack the truck until we paid in full.
2) They stole my boyfriends vintage 25 year old bottle of whiskey I gave to him as a birthday present worth - R7000.00, right out of our home. He had put it aside to take on the plane with him and they walked straight out of the house with it, after we gave them clothes, shoes, old mirrors and other items we did not want to take with us to Cape Town.
3) The unreliable Promise (the main guy), PROMISED that our belongings would get there the 5th of September, the truck arrived the 7th (on my birthday)- we had to stay in a hotel for two nights due to their unreliability and inefficiency.
4) Our items were sopping wet, our victorian server had been laying in water which caused major damaged, our bed had to sit outside for a day and our couch stinks of damp and mold due to their lack of packing and their damaged old truck that was falling apart.
5) They had misplaced our main box, which they agreed to and took responsibility for. However when we produced all the receipts for the box and an entire inventory that I made sure to do they said that they cannot refund us R7700. Even thou they say that you are insured for R200,000.00!!!!!!!! The R7700 was not even all the items. I had crystal vases that were a gift to me in the box that would be worthless to the person who stole them!!
So too conclude, they are ******* and *****. There is no insurance.. Legally they are liable and have admitted they lost the box. However they cannot hold their end of the deal up and therefor should be shut down.
******* business with broken agreements.
DO NOT USE THEM!!!! rather spend R5000 more, you will SAVE a lot at the end of the day and dealing with incompetence is going to drive you crazy!!!!!!
GOOD LUCK- Pity our laws are not strong enough to get YOU shut down!!!
Your experience with us is greatly regrettable. As mentioned in our correspondences we have taken full responsibility of the lost boxes and sadly at the final hour we could not agree on the mode of compensating the lost box.
Regarding the lost whiskey, I have made explicitly clear that we would not compensate that as neither of our team members saw the bottle. If you have any form of proof that the bottle was taken by our team please bring it forward so that we can compensate you. As regards to the extra charges on packaging materials this was communicated to you explicitly and appropriately. I sincerely do believe that you had an option not to take our packaging materials if you felt that the price was exorbitant. I will be emailing you directly to find a resolution to this matter.
