Missing Order.....for 2 weeks no word

I placed an order for books on the 10 November, the Courier phoned me on the 27th, I was in training and returned the call as soon as I could to be told he had gone home but he would turn around and delivery the books, so I sent him a detailed sms on how to find me. He said he if he didn't deliver it, someone else would on Monday.<br> It is now the 11 of December. I phoned to query the order and discovered it was returned to the warehouse. I require those books before the 16th December...... the courier said they couldn't contact me.<br> My question is, why did no-one from exclusive books contact me to tell me the order is undeliverable ? And why did the courier company not return on Monday ?<br> I never have this problem with Amazon or YuppieChef who deliver to me regularly.<br> I am now waiting for someone to find out what happened....well, why did it take me phoning you to work out something was wrong ? Surely if the order returns to the warehouse you are notified and can then contact the customer ?
