Double charging and defamation of character.

I purchased a book last week at Exclusive books, when I got to checkout the cashier advised me that the transaction did not go through on my credit card when I had received notification that the money had been debited from my account. She said she would have to swipe my card again and I refused because I knew it had gone off. We then got into an argument after she had brought most of her colleagues to the counter to dispute the matter with me. I then said that I would leave with my book because I had paid for it already, she then proceeded to accuse me of *****ing and that it was the banks fault and I should settle the matter with them. I gave up and decided to let her swipe my card again. She told me that they would call me the following day to advise me if both transactions went through after they did the cash up. I am still waiting for that call... on my statements double the amount has gone off and I have not received any refund. I called my bank and they advised me to get in contact with exclusive books with is obviously logical thing to do because they were the ones who charged me twice. What I find ironic is being accused of *****ing when they have actual ****** from me.
