Selling a broken down vehicle
I bought a vehicle, Ford Fietsa 1.0 EcoBoost on the 19th of December 2019 from JJ and Hennie, on the 20th of December 2019 there was an extremely bad noise coming from the engine bay. I sent JJ and Hennie videos of the vehicle.
Hennie's reply was that I should not drive with the vehicle anymore as it sounds like something is seizing. As per instruction from Hennie and his management, I had to take the vehicle to someone I know on the 27th of December to get the vehicle inspected, I went to Ford in Vereeniging and the feedback was, there is a very obvious welded hole in the sump of the vehicle and that a bearing has seized which has caused major issues to the engine.
According to Hennie they serviced the vehicle just before they handed it over to me and did a 101 point check so how do you not see this welded hole in the sump if you service a vehicle? The quotation from Ford is a repair of R79 000. I have been emailing and sending letters to Hennie from the 30th of December to cancel this deal as per advise from Standard Bank but the dealership just refuses.
Last arrogant communication from them was, that they don't have any feedback from me as I need to go to the ombudsman and attorneys.
They are refusing to give me any information pertaining to the vehicle, the service or even what my rights are to dispute
Horrible service, horrible experience, I would warn every single person buying from them to go and get your vehicles inspected by a third party as they don't tell anyone about mechanical faults on vehicles as they should be doing according to the CPA Act
