Accident history not disclosed.

A few months ago I bought a Ford Ranger from Fanie. at first i was pleasantly surprised to the level of dedication and service that i received from him.

On the day that i was to receive my car i made the trip from Mokopane to Pretoria (+- 200km) where myself and my father waited while Exclusive Auto's workshop did a final check on the car.

Once we got the car we were informed that their was a dent in the bull-bar, and was told that my extended warranty will fix it for me, i also noticed that the petrol was practically empty, i asked him why this was seeing that he told me that we will be receiving a full tank, he then stated that management said they are not going to fill up the tank. Not thinking anything of it i said that its ok i'll fill up once i get to a station (seeing that the service was so good i did not want to rock the boat over a tank of fuel)

Once we got to home Fanie contacted me saying that he neglected to give me the final papers to sign.... So a few days later i made the trip to PTA again (-R2500) to sign the documents, after informing Fanie telepathically that i noticed the mud covers at the front wheels wasn't as they should be, the air-con smelled of rat pee and that the water cleaning system for the windows wasn't working, he stated that they will fix it using my extended warranty that i had bought with the car again i let it be seeing that 'he would sort it out for me'.

We paid on the road cost to the dealership (for registration, plates etc.) we however said that we wanted to process the registrations in Limpopo seeing that this is where we live. He obliged and said that we must just sent them the bill and that the will reimburse me. So i had to take the car for the normal inspections at the DMV (-R1000), paid my licencing fees and my number plates. i only sent the bill for the licence and plates (R700 odd). I eventually had to resort to legal talk to get my money paid back (round about 2 month later and numeral not so friendly emails)

A few weeks back while washing my car i noticed that the paint was flaking and cracking i immediately took the car to a workshop here in town, they ran some tests as informed me that the car had been in an accident. I then went for a 2nd and 3rd opinion all stating the same thing.

I informed Fanie that i'm planning to take the car to Derka in PTA (AGAIN) as advised by the AA head-office seeing that they are the only AA centre that will be able to give me a legal 'after accident' report.

He rep**** asking for a copy of the report also saying the he will pull the car's records in the meantime.

I told him that if i took the car to Derka and if the results are positive that i will claim the cost back from them (the dealer) unless they have an alternative plan. - He never rep****.

I paid the R2991(- another R2500 for travelling) to Derka to have the inspection done and hand delivered a signed copy of the report to Fanie's office seeing that Derka is across the road form them. (He wasn't there so left it with his co-worker).

I mailed Fanie once i got back home saying that i would like them to let me know what they are planning on doing now that my car needs to be fixed. - again he never rep****.

2 days later i mailed him the invoice form Derka and requested that they refund me my money.

He simply stated that they never agreed to refund me and that i should make an appointment to bring the car in to their workshop so that they can inspect the car AS HE TOLD ME... (the same workshop that had the car inspected in the first place when i bought the car) but he never rep**** to my mail...

Now they want me to travel down to PTA again (R2500 each time)!?

I told him that i will take legal action in 48 hours if they do not come to light with a plant to fix my car.

So this morning i received a mail from Sarita Viljoen saying that the will not be assisting me with the damage to my car nor will the be refunding me any fees.

So i have reported the case to the relevant authorities and will also be reporting them to Standardbank who financed my car.

Please explain to me with whom you are 'attending to this matter'? it sure isn't with me or my attorneys.
