Would not recommend them. Terrible service.

We first made contact with EverAfter Studios on 13 May 2025, to book them for our wedding taking place on 25 April 2026. At first they were very responsive and we had a video call with them on the 14th of May 2025 to discuss using them as our photographers. We spoke about doing an engagement shoot to get to know each other and get comfortable with them so that the wedding day goes smoothly. They also said that we will be added on a group with their admin so that if they are unable to respond we would at least get a response from the admin. On the 15th of May 2025 we paid our 50% deposit and then things started going downhill. On 22 May 2025, I followed up regarding the group that they were going to make as well as dates for the engagement shoot. We were added to a group on that same day. On the 30th of June 2025, I followed up again regarding the engagement shoot as we wanted to use the photos for our wedding website. We did not get a response. I followed up again on the 4th of July. They responded on the 7th of July stating that things are very hectic and do we have a location in mind. I immediately sent them the vibe we were going for. On the 14th I sent a follow up message regarding a place to do the engagement shoot. On the 16th my fiancé followed up as well. We got a response on the 17th of July with a date of the 15th of August. I let them know that we work until 16:30 and that date would not be possible, they rep**** and said they would look for a different date. On the 21st of July I followed up with them regarding a new date. No response, on the 23rd I followed up again. They responded and said that the 26th of July can work. On the 24th they sent a message saying that they are not able to do the 26th anymore and asked if we can move it to 2nd or 3rd of August. We were not available that weekend and let them know that we will arrange with work to get off a little earlier and that we can do that Monday or Tuesday. On the 25th we followed up with them regarding the date to be able to arrange with work timeously. They confirmed that we can do the 5th of August. On the 4th I followed up with them to confirm the 5th. No response, on the 5th my fiancé sent a message that we will meet them at the location at 16:30. They responded that they were in hospital and won't be able to make it. On the 18th of August we checked in with them to set a new date. No response. On the 21st we followed up with them again regarding a date. They just sent us their calendar with dates scratched out that were not available. We picked the earliest date possible which was the 25th of August. On the 25th we met with them to take our engagement photos. On the 2nd of September I sent them a message to enquire about their turnaround time as we wanted to use the photos for the website. They responded and said she will send us sneak peaks soon. On the 6th of September we received 3 photos that we were not able to use for the website as we were not able to see my fiancé's face in any of them. On the 7th of October I checked in with them to find out when we will receive the rest. I followed up again on the 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th. We received the photos on the 13th. On 18 January 2026 I sent them a message to enquire how it would work regarding a timeline as our wedding day was coming up in April. They responded and said we can discuss the timeline two months before the wedding. On the 2nd of March 2026 we had a meeting with the admin and during our meeting we asked who will be shooting our wedding as we were seeing more and more concerning reviews regarding random photographers pitching at weddings without prior communication. She reassured me that it would be EverAfter Studios but would confirm. On 23 March, I followed up for confirmation regarding who the photographers will be. The admin responded that she will get back to us once they return from Cape Town. On the 10th of April I followed up again, no response. On the 13th I followed up again as our wedding was in 12 days. On the 14th the admin let us know that it would be different photographers/videographers than the ones we had booked. We were quite upset about this and asked if we could meet with them as well as see their work as we had no prior engagement with the photographers or reference of their work. We arranged to have a meeting with them on the 17th of April (a week before our wedding). During this meeting we grew more concerned as they kept referencing that they are still building a portfolio and we were under the impression that we will receive the same quality as we were paying for. After further investigation we found that the new photographers were offering similar packages than what we were paying for at a fraction of the price. We decided that we would rather cancel with them than to go through more headaches. After sending our cancellation letter EverAfter Studios suddenly grew very "concerned". We subsequently contracted with a new photographer, and after receiving numerous messages on WhatsApp from EverAfter Studios we advised them to please direct all correspondence to our legal representative. They ignored this and our legal representative sent them another letter which they also ignored and continued to directly correspond with us. We however ignored these messages and subsequently our wedding was on 25 April 2026 with no representation from EverAfter Studios. Based on our experience, it is my personal opinion that any bride-to-be should carefully consider their options before booking with EverAfter Studios. In hindsight, we wish we had made a different decision earlier in the process, even at the cost of our deposit.
