Refusal to compensate for damaged goods

My underage daughter's fragile baggage was ********ly confiscated when she wanted to ensure that it will be transferred onto the correct connecting flight. It did not arrive with her at the destination but only 4 days later and damaged. It was delivered to the hotel staff and not to my daughter in person. Etihad does not want to compensate for the damage and this is drawing out now since July 2015
