My mother app**** for electricity and paid at the department of electricity eThekwini for her new home she waited just over 2months to get her meter box and electrical cable installed Where she now currently stays Engonyameni in Durban. she had stated when applying for the electricity that the common copper electrical cable installed outside from the main electricity box to her house was going to be too long and is on high demand to ******* with neighbors reporting over 10 electrical cable thefts. Even when this was brought to the manager of the department of electricity eThekwini's attention, He/she deliberately ignored our cry out for the eager assistance not to be produce with the high risk electrical cable when there is another safer more secure cable available, we where told by the staff that it was to expensive to install the correctcablekeeping in mind we have paid the departmentaccordinglyfor the installationof electricity. My mother made them very aware that she works from home as a pensioner and therefore needs the correct installation as we cannot wait another two whole months just to get electricity. She needs to make a living and has bills to pay and without electricity she cannot work setting her behind on her work. But the department of electricity eThekwini chose to ignore her deliberately leaving her jobless as we speak because the ******* have gone and ****** the exact electricity cable installed for her that she highlighted she did not want in the very beginning due to it being of high demand to *******. My mother has been ******. The department of electricity does not answer any of her phone calls and I need answers now as to why nobody has contacted her from higher management in connection with her out cry from the beginning. She has paid according to the law and they have ****** her.
