INCORRECT ELECTRICITY BILL

The electricity meter readings are not read monthly but on an ad-hoc basis. My meter was read on 23 January 2024, 1575kwh for 131 days with a daily average of 12.02 kWh. However, the Ethekweni Municipality calculates it as 18.43 kWh. The next reading was on 18 April 2024: 1071 kWh for 86 days with a daily average of 12.45 kWh. However, the Ethekweni Municipality calculates it as 15.51 kWh. I did go into the Customer services section of the Electricity department to query this and their answer was, that the system calculates it as such. My estimated readings are based on the incorrect higher daily calculation. I am a pensioner and struggle to pay my exorbitant municipal bills each month.
