I am a resident of a small town just north of Durban for the past 39 years. It is sad and heart breaking to say, that we have never experienced water outages like the way we are currently experiencing right now. We never had water the entire weekend and we still don’t have. i tried numerous times calling the call center, but it is either no one picks up or the call gets cut. Water trucks are hardly servicing the areas affected, if they do, it is only during the day when most of the residents are at work. the last time a water tanker serviced the area was over the week end. municipality is now blaming load shedding for residents not having water. from past experiences with load shedding there was no water issues, municipality is using load shedding as an escape goat. municipality is aware off load shedding,but never bothered of putting a plan in place to accommodate for the load shedding.
