eThekwini Municipality & DSW workers deserve 5 stars

I would like to thank the City manager Sipho Nzuza, as well his Deputy Mr Makhanya, Raymond and Bongani of DSW as well the team that came out to my residence to collect refuse from my street last night (13 January 2021) at 9pm. As usual all residences of Ladlepalm put out the refuse to be collected that morning. When I returned home, I was horrified to find that there were 9 refuse bags stacked on my side of the street in front of my drive way. It seems like DSW refuse collectors, pile the bags a pick up sites but the DWS truck didn't come our street. I tried in vain to contact DSW directly but their offices closed at 4pm. I managed to get the number of the city manager. I sent him a text asking for assistance. within just a few minutes he rep**** with the number of his deputy manager. After 30 minutes I called the deputy manager who had advised that would try his best, he also sent me the contact number for Raymond of DSW. I called Raymond and advised him of the had happen. I had told him that the bags were not only stinking has it was lying out in the sun for more than 8 hours it was attracting files and causing an obstruction to my drive way. I could not get my car out. He advised that all depots were closed but to give him some time and he would try to resolve the issue. After a further 45minuts, I received a call from Bongani of DSW who advised that he was trying to get a truck out to me asap and would provide feedback in due course. After approximately 20 minutes he called back to say that he had arranged for a truck to come from Umhlanga to pick up the refuse but the truck would only come through at 9pm. I wait and the truck did come through and collected the refuse at 9pm. I would like to convey my heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in resolving this problem.
