ETHEKWINI BILL

Good morning Peter, we are having endless problems with our electricity / water accounts. We received a credit of R1409.35 in August but this month we are being charged R6124.77 for a water metre reading from April to August 2015, (5117kwh) water usage and from Sept to Oct 1333 kwh R1724.77 which is totally unacceptable. Total bill for the month is R6440.19, where on earth must we find this money. This has been the case the entire year and we cannot cope with this anymore. My husband was retrenched and we do not know who we can contact to assist us with this, we are in total despair. EThekwini does whatever they want to and the public cannot defend themselves. They have even installed new metres but the bill just goes up and up. We phone the readings through to them every month but they just don't use it.<br> Please can you assist, I can mail you the account.<br> The bill is on my son't name, OH Olivier (we are both bond holders).<br> Thanking you kindly, regards<br> Linda McCallum
