DURBAN MUNICIPALITY, URGENT ROAD REPAIR REPORT ATTEMPTED

On Friday 24 November 2017 I unsuccessfully attempted to contact the Durban Municipality - Road repair department to report that a trench that had been dug in Ridge Road, Glenwood by the Municipality had not been recovered. The road in question which is on an incline is just off the freeway and leads to Entabeni & St. Augustines Hospitals and Natal University. The other side, being downhill, is also affected but not as bad. All vehicles travelling up and down this this road come to a complete stop at the trench causing a chaos for motorists. The situation in extremely dangerous for vehicles and occupants.

I spent more than an hour trying various numbers to report the problem with no success. I was given different numbers to contact and all these lines were either engaged or never answered. Frustrating is an understatement.

All motorists are warned to be very cautious when using this road as the trench may not be visible in inclement weather.
