Damage to property and doing nothing about it

<p>in november 2016 the residents at 31 pipeclay place had a problem with their waterline.The municipality water works attended to the complaint.in order to fix the problem the plumbers came in to my property which is 27 pipeclay place.They were so unproffesional in that they brought a tlb into my property and in doing so they damaged the stairway cause the driveway was to narrow for the tlb.Furthermore they dug a huge hole in my yard in order to acess the main water pipe which was in my yard.they manage to fix the problem but left my property all damaged .the also left a water pipe running above the ground going all across to the other property.I never saw plumbing done so haphzardly .</p> <p>Since november last year i have been trying to get the damages to the property sorted out ,but it just goes from one person to the other.i have been given claim form to fill which i did and nothing seem to happenning thus far.I have bee email every week to find out abouth the progress ,but it always goes to a dead end.i have submitted my claim from in 25 /11/2016 and up until now nothing has happened.</p> <p>Does the municipality have the right to destroy peoples property and leve it as is.Where is their ethics if they have any.</p>
