Having made a mistake on the new billing system I was advised by the head of accounting that I would have to pay the actual amount not the estimated amounts which would be investigated. I made the necessary payment and it was found that they had made a mistake however on their advise i was told it was safe to proceed with my holiday plans as I would not get an answer within the next 30 days . Immediately upon my departure my electricity was suspended. 21 days later afer my return they found out that they were not supposed to suspend my services as I had made payments. To date I have not been reimbursed for the loss of my food , nor was I reimbused for the disconnection and the reconnection fees and even though they removed the incorrect readings from the equation a recalculation of the usage was never done resulting in a bill of R14000 even when the premises were unoccupied execpt for a few days during the disconnection in order to clean up the mess that they had created .
