ESKY TRAVEL THE WORST ORGANISATION
This is the worst organization I have ever dealt with! We booked a holiday package with them in September 2020 to Namibia for 10 days leaving Johannesburg on the 27th December. On the 11th December I found out I was extremely ill and had to cancel our bookings. Esky contacted the airline, SA Airlink who were fine with everything and we were told in writing by eSky that the airline would give us a two year travel credit voucher. We now want to reactivate those flights and the travel credit voucher to leave Johannesburg on the 9th May for 10 days to Namibia. We emailed esky and asked them to reactivate our booking. They said they will but we have to pay R3090! I asked them what that amount was for as we had paid our flights and the cancelation fee in December. Their answer was the difference in price and taxes between the old fare and the new fare. They said they checked the cheapest flight for the provided dates and the fares depend on what the airlines impose. I then checked Cheap Flights on the web myself and they were actually a few Rands CHEAPER than our original fares so basically eSky Travel are lying and ripping us off which I told them. They now do not answer our emails and contrary to what their website says "we are a phone call away", they don't have a phone number! To be at the "mercy" of a company or person is extremely traumatic and I will NOT allow MY hardworking money to be ****** from me. HELLO PETER AND SA CONSUMER COUNCIL please advise what we can do! We cannot go any further with our plans and we're a week and a bit away from our holiday. After suffering severe illness and looking forward to a good relaxing holiday away, this is deeply disappointing indeed!!! Thank you Kevin Brewer email: ***
