Epson Printer sold as sublimation printer

I'm hoping that I would get some feedback from Epson Printers here, I purchased a eco tank printer that comes with the specifications if used with sublimation ink from day one you can use it as a sublimation printer. Then I get hold of the Epson techs and they tell me the printer I was sold is not compatible with sublimation ink and replacing the heads is equally expensive as to just buy a new printer. I have emailed Epson I have logged a complain with takealot where I put purchased it from and no one has gotten back to me. Please be careful when purchasing a epson printer for sublimation use.
