Your contaminated fuel damaged my vehicle and you guys do not help. Claim ref number ***

I put a claim through with engen head office on the 25/07/16 and to date there has been no type of solution offered by engen. I filled up petrol at a Zenex garage owned by engen not knowing that they were closing down or going under renovation. My tank was filled with dirt which clogged the fuel lines, damaged the fuel pump, fuel filter and the injectors. After being without a car for over a week I still had to fit a bill of over R7000. Every time I contact engen they say they are investigating, but thats the only time I get feed back, only when I contact them. The service center that repaired my vehicle has not heard from engen yet.

I think this is pathetic customer service and there should be measures in place for these kinds of incidents. R7000 might not be a lot for engen but in the economic crisis we are in, it sure is a hell of a lot of money for me.

If this is not resolved as soon as possible i will take to other types of social media and encourage friends and family to stop using engen so that something like this does not happen to them.

Reviewer Update

It has been 15 days and I have not received any feed back. I have given engen all information required including the receipt for the petrol and the invoice for the repairs. SSM had even kept some of the contaminated petrol and broken parts, but after 3 months of not being contacted I am not sure that they will still have it as they are not a storage facility. I think i will be taking to twitter and facebook to voice my concerns about this and prevent it from happening to family and friends.
