Wrong Fuel poured into a vehicle
On the 28/02/2021, I went to Engine garage service center in Marimba Gardens 'TEKANE MOTORS' for diesel refuel. I asked the petrol attendant by the name of 'Thembinkosi' to pour me 10 litre diesel. He unfortunately poured petrol 95 ULP. How I got to realise was when driving after about 2 kilometres then the car was smoking heavy and didnt have power.
I looked for the receipt which indicated that the attendant poured petrol. I did attempted to contact the service station for was forward but unfortunatley their telephone number didnt work. I then contacted the Engine customer service and they advised me that we should go back to the service station.
I drove back to the service station out of being stranded, when I arrived the petrol attendant denied irregardless of me having indicated clearly and having a sticker on the diesel tank lead indicating that only diesel is supposed to be poured.
The cashier on the day assisted us by calling management and they made an order that the attended must find the machanic to drain the diesel and then they should replace it. I agreed but the attendent had attitude and didnt want to help. He came back saying he couldnt find the mechanic and that I must pour more diesel in order to erase the petrol poured.
He poured 20 litre of diesel as suggested which I paid again but only for 10 litre as they said it is the responsibility of the attendent for another 10 litre. I asked if it wont affect my car and was told it wont. The car did move until today the 02 March 2021. I woke up today the 02 March to start the Engine of the car and the car doesnt start the Engine.
I work with the car and have not been working and my cashflow and income is affected . I would like to know from Engine Petroleum how we can resolve this matter as the fault of pouring wrong fuel into my vehicle seem to have affected my vehicle and further affecting my business.
