Urgency of my son’s medical condition.
Hi
I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received at the Zakariyah Park Engen on August 8, 2023. On that day, between 19:50 and 20:10, I urgently needed to fill up my car with diesel so that I could rush my 2-year-old son to the clinic due to an ear infection. Unfortunately, the staff (Given the Supervisor) at the Engen Zakariyya Park refused to assist me and told me to leave, citing instructions from higher management not to serve me anymore because I had previously complained about damage to my generator.
As a result, I was stranded on the side of the road and had to call a friend who drives for Uber to take my son and wife to the clinic while I made my way to a BP garage 15km away. This was a highly stressful and inconvenient situation, especially given the urgency of my son’s medical condition.
I would like to know if this is the level of service that Engen provides to its customers and if there is a policy in place at Engen HQ that allows for such treatment. As someone in the transportation business, I am considering instructing my partners not to fill up at this garage and taking this matter up with the industry ombudsman.
I look forward to your response.
The only reason I am being persistent is to gather all evidence. I assure you that this will not be the end.
The treatment was extremely embarrassing. Some of your staff members respect me as a community leader, yet I received such treatment. Just so you are aware, my child’s infection worsened because we arrived late at the clinic.
This was an emergency!
