UNFAIR TREATMENT AND DECEIT

On 23/10/2025 I stopped by Engen garage in President Dam - Springs, to fill up the petrol. I was attended to by a trainee whom I clearly told that I wanted full tank of 95 fuel. Halfway through, he then asked me if I wanted diesel and I repeated that I had said I wanted 95 petrol. He stopped and then said he poured diesel and indicated that it was his first day at work, however, working unsupervised. Afterwards the staff called the manager (Cheney) who later came over, and we discussed the problem at hand. The filling station offered to get their mechanic to drain the diesel but I opted to seek guidance from the dealership. I called Jetour Roadside Assistance and they advised that the vehicle be towed to Jetour Dealership to conduct the draining process, to maintain warranty. Feedback was provided to the manager who then paid tow vehicle R1200 and said I should forward the quotation once received. She said they would take full liability for the incident. Today, 24/10/2025, a quotation of R3306 was sent to the filling station manager and she responded with a letter stating that they are willing to pay only R2500 for the entire incident and that if I do not agree with this, I must speak to the lawyers. From R2500 they deduct R1200 which they paid for towing and R425 which they paid to their tow guy which I had not consented. As a result, they will only pay R825 towards the quotation provided. I find this very unfair and frustrating as they placed a new employee to assist customers on his first day without supervision and now, they are not willing to take full accountability for their recklessness. I have been deceived and treated unfairly by the manager as she mentioned that they take full accountability.
